Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable): Bachelor's degree in rehabilitation counseling,guidance and counseling, psychological, social work or related field and at least one year of experience in rehabilitation services. Computer skills and ability complete assignments in a qualitative and quantitative manner. Demonstrates sensitivity to clients the ability to be a flexible team player.
Job Description: Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor or casemanager provides a continuum of habilitation services to adults with developmental or other disabilities in a day program or sheltered workshop setting. Completes assessments and develops treatment plans. Provides counseling. Completes progress reports, staffing summaries and other pertinent reports. Makes referrals for services.
