Job Description:
The People's Resource Center (PRC) is looking for a Housing Specialist to work 40 hours/week to assist with the management and disbursement of homeless prevention funds. This position is a grant-funded position and reports to the Director of Housing. The candidate will be eligible for full time benefits: paid time off, pension, health insurance, short-term disability insurance, life insurance and flexible spending account participation.

Responsibilities include:
-Conduct pre-screening interviews and client assessments to determine eligibility of housing assistance according to established guidelines
-Connect program participants with needed support services
-Act as case manager for designated families
-Communicate with landlords and mortgage companies to ensure timely housing assistance
-Maintain accurate and complete client files and processing forms
-Assist with grant and internal reporting requirements
-Assist with inputting and updating all housing related databases
-Assist with compilation of program statistics
-Identify, analyze, and make improvements to internal department procedures to ensure
efficient and effective systems

Other Information About This Job:
Experience/education
-Bachelors degree required, preferably in humanities or social service area
-3 years of similar work
experience
