Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable):
• MSW or MFT from an accredited college or university
• Bilingual/bicultural ability preferred
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Possess a valid California driver’s license and appropriate automobile insurance.
• Knowledge of LA County DMH guidelines and/or older adult issues a plus
• Fingerprint Clearance to be obtained within 30 days of employment


Job Description:
Summary of Duties
Psychiatric Social Worker for Field Capable Clinical Services and/or Full Service Partnership program for older adults with co-occurring disorders. Under the direction of the Program Director and Manager or designated clinical supervisor, the Psychiatric Social Worker will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive services.

Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric field-based evaluation to the mentally ill including assessments, psychosocial intakes, emergency/crisis evaluations, and functional impairments.
• Provide psychotherapeutic services to individuals and groups in non-traditional community-based settings.
• Provide case management services to ensure a continuous system of care to the targeted mentally ill population.
• Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings with all project staff to develop and monitor treatment plans and monitoring of clients
• Provide clinical consultation to agencies and constituents of the community as appropriate.
• Participate in utilization review and other quality assurance activities.
• Participate in staff trainings as assigned
• Work on other appropriate tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
• (Full Service Partnership Services – work with multidisciplinary team in providing 24/7 crisis intervention).
• Perform duties on some weekday evenings and weekend days as needed.
