• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• The employee must have a thorough knowledge of recruiting and retention programs, the ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications, and must have the ability to independently plan and organize one’s own activities.


Job Description:
The MENTOR Network, a human services organization, is about helping people. We serve people with developmental disabilities, children with emotional and behavioral challenges, and people with acquired brain injury by offering community-based, residential, in-home and out-of-home services to fit each individual’s needs and preferences.

California MENTOR, a partner of The MENTOR Network, is a Family Home Agency providing a range of supports for adults with developmental disabilities. As a trusted provider with a proven track record of success we have helped hundreds of people grow and thrive in the communities they call home through quality based services and flexible programming.

We are currently seeking a RECRUITER/RECERTIFICATION COORDINATOR to join our FHA Program located in SANTA ROSA, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and develop advertising and conducts the recruitment process including cold calls and information meetings.
• Represent the company at job fairs, promotional presentations, and other events to recruit mentors.
• Conduct orientation, home study evaluations, and pre-service orientation.
• Record and maintain the statistics necessary to measure the effectiveness of various recruitment efforts.
• Maintain appropriate records in compliance with funding source requirements; develop informative activities and programs about company services.
• Build and enhance active network of mentors.
• Develop and maintain professional alliances and relationships that will serve to help recruiting efforts.
• Develop and implement mentor retention programs.
• Conduct quarterly and annual home study evaluations.
• Complete a monthly report making recommendations to management for follow-up, de-certification, or re-certification.
• Coordinate all steps in the re-certification process (i.e. document non-compliant issues, follow-up with mentor in their efforts to obtain necessary documentation, ensure that physical plant corrections are made, etc.).
• Compile and submit information and advise management on whether or not to proceed on re-certifying a home.
• Maintain appropriate records in compliance with funding source requirements.
• Maintain and audit mentor files monthly to ensure compliance with all regulatory, contractual, corporate, and legal requirements.
• Coordinate monthly mentor appreciation efforts.
• Coordinate monthly mentor continuing education meetings to ensure compliance with required education hours.
• Responsible for the coordination of and training of all currently certified mentors including CPR and First Aid training, monthly in-services, training on the client population, health, normalization, history of mentor, fire and safety.
