Job Title:        Director of Social Services
Department:        Domestic Violence Shelters
Location:        Brooklyn, NY
Hours:             Monday: 10am-6pm
            Tuesday thru Thursday 9am -5pm
             Friday: 2pm – 10pm
Salary:             $55K- 60K

Food First Family Project, Inc. is a state licensed 74 bed Domestic Violence emergency shelter.
SUMMARY: Direct responsibility for the shelter, delivery of supportive services, childcare and housing assistance to families. Services and documentation are to be provided in accordance with NYS DSS Regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•        Responsible for day to day operations of the DV shelter’s clinical programs.
•        Supervision of clinical f/t staff, per-diem employees and consultants including coaching, training/development.
•        Responsible for all clinical records relating to client services.
•        Responsible for conducting presentations and outreach to CBO’s, and other interest groups.
•        Responsible internal & external reports.
•        Represent Food First at coalitions, committees and at HRA Director’s meeting.
•        Other duties as assigned by Executive Director.
•        On-Call
•        Some weekends hours may be required.

REQUIREMENTS:               
MSW MPH
2-5 years Admin Exp.
On Call
Work schedule consists of some evening and weekend hours
Bilingual English/Spanish a +
SIFI Certification Preferred.
